The Wow Factors

Wow Factors : A set of properties belonging to an object that pleasantly surprise a watcher. From commercials to cool electronics, the wow factor is an important thing to consider when designing it.

-Sources from Urban Dictionary

Truth to be told, everything could be a wow factor to everyone. From a good book to an awesome movie. From a fun fact of something you like to a chaotic situation in your life. Everything could make you go all 'WOW' mode. Sometimes it doesn't have to be a big thing that surprises you, like how when Iphone was first introduce to the world. It could be when you are imagining things like cars can fly like birds and such (which by the way, flying cars are real), or when you found a great scenery from the nature. To me everything is a surprise, the world is big, you may never know the world completely, because the world itself IS unknown. Why don't you try and find your own 'wow' factors?

Freedom Writers #2 : How does writing help us?

Describe how writing in journals (In the movie Freedom Writers) helps transform the lives of the students. How does writing 'free' the students from their pain.

Writing gives us a freedom of our mind. Which in the caes of the movie 'Freedom Writers', it helps free the students mind. It gives them a place to express their feelings without getting judge by others or having a gun being point at their head. It lets them have a place for a rest from the pressure, sadness, pain and depression they had been through. It also reminds them of their true self. The students in the movie write about their past sad lives in the journals, This is also a way for them to mourn for their sad past, and another way to show that it is time to move on. Writing in journals truly helped the students transform their lives in one way or another.

Freedom Writers

On the April of 12, 2016, my English teacher had introduce us a movie that I was suppose to write about it. But I guess I had forgotten, or maybe I was lazy to write. Anyways, it doesn't matter because this wasn't the point of the post.

Freedom Writers was a movie film made in 2007. It was based on a book called 'Freedom Writers' written by a teacher named Erin Gruwell who wrote the story based on a real life situation in a school named Woodrow Wilson Classical High.

The story starts with Erin Gruwell, an enthusiastic new teacher with the passion in teaching. Her enthusiastic was soon challenge when she finds her student are not the 'average college student you meet everyday', fights always breaks out in the classroom and students tends to skip class. However, Teacher Gruwell never gives up on them. In the end she gained her student trust and respect.

Teacher Gruwell is truly a great teacher. She care for her students deeply and was able to create a strong bond with them like no other teachers could. She taught her students to stay true with their heart, thus creating a family the students could ever have.

There are so many thing in this movie that touches my heart. I love this movie and the unable express feeling that it gives me. This is a heart warming movie that I recommend everyone to watch.

Diary #3 : Entry No. 1

To the survivor who will find this book:

My name is Shirley, One of the survivors in this zombie apocalypse. I came travelling here from far away in order to find a cure and fix this.... mess.

Few months ago, the government had confirm the disease was spread throughout the world. There aren't any safe place left for us, everywhere is infected, the human race will soon be over. To prevent this from happening, the world shall unite and create a cure to save the remain survivors. Each government shall send their best scientists to a place and meet up. The place will be somewhere in America, the reason I'm here.

We had boat trip before we arrived, we made it to the mainland without a single soul lost. However, due to the large amount of people we have with us, we were forced to split up. But that's okay, is all for the cure. Minx and I traveled from cities to cities, each time we would camp in the hospital and use the equipment that was not destroyed yet. We wanted to collect as many substances as we could, who knows when will those come in handy one day.

Sadly, the worst came. During a zombie attack I was separated from my group. Being alone is quite scary, because you got no one to watch your back for dangers. But I'm still traveling, I will continue my journey as far as possible. I trust my fellow friends will make it to the meeting spot and I'm planning to meet them there. Although I wish to meet them sooner but this is for the best, I've wasted too much time being a coward. I should at least try and make it to my destination.

I didn't know why I wrote this. Maybe because I was lonely. Maybe I was hoping that my friends will find this and find me. Or maybe I wanted to let other survivors who is reading this know that you are not alone, there's someone trying their best to survive other than you. But no matter what happens I will keep writing these dairies. This is the third dairy I had written, hope it does good to any of you who have find this.

If you are traveling like me, expect to find more of this dairies left in the hospital, or probably at the library. I will continue my search for the cure and get to the meeting point. I just hope I'll be doing fine alone. Yeah, I think I'll be fine. I hope you do to. Stay safe.

A New Friend

He heard sobbing coming from the end of the hallway. At first he was curious of the voice, but he soon find a little girl hiding under the stairs all alone. She looked very much different than any of the girls he ever seen, instead of having black hair like his classmates, she have a long blonde hair. He look at her with questions.

"Are you... crying?" The girl heard him and quickly wiped her tears away.  "N-no! I wasn't!" But the boy could tell from her puffy red eyes, she was lying. The boy thought for a second and decided to sit beside the girl, "Did someone stole your candy?"

"Huh?" The girl didn't catch what he had said. He repeat, "did someone stole your candy and ate it?" She went silence, long later she shook her head. "No? Then why are you crying?"

"No one wants to talk to me..." The girl slowly says, eyes staring on the ground. "They all think I'm strange and they laugh at me because of my hair."

"Why is your hair yellow?" The boy asked in curious, feeling bad for the girl.

"Because my mummy's hair are yellow, so my hair is yellow too." The girl looks at her braid angrily, "I don't like my hair, why must it be yellow like my mummy? Why can't it be black like my daddy?"

"But I like your hair," the boy's comment made the girl look at him in the eye for the first time. "Really?" The boy nodded, "I like yellow and your hair is yellow. I think your hair is pretty!" She looked down, "no one has ever said that to me..." The boy smile brightly, "well now you do!" The bell suddenly rang.

The boy look at the other end of the hallway where lots of kids are running around and is in completely mess, "oh, the class is going to start. Come on, lets get back to our class, what class are you in?"

"K2 Green..."

"That's next to my class, I'm K2 Red! We can walk back to our class together, lets go!" The boy waited for the girl to stand up and immediately pulls her with him. The girl nearly stumble, "H-hey! Slow down!" The boy laughs a little and says, "Nope, we are getting late for class!" Soon the end of the hallway is filled with laughter, a seed of friendship has been planted between the two little children.

Colours

He can't remember how long has he been staying in this room. There's nothing wrong with this place, it's just... he felt empty. As if he is missing something in this place, but what is it? He don't need protection, this room keeps him away from everything. He don't need food nor drinks either, apparently it just appear out of thin air whenever he is hungry. He don't need anyone in here, because being lonely has always been his thing. He sees how other people lives pass on, they share laughs, sadness, and anger no matter where they are. He may not have experience these emotions in first hand, but sharing the atmosphere of other people's life when being alone is good enough for him. He doesn't want to ask for more, but something is still missing. Something.... physically. Or was it metal?

He walk around in his white empty room, bored as usual. Still trying to figure out what is he missing. As he was too focus onto his thoughts, he failed to realise a puddle of black ink slowly forms behind him. The puddle of black ink started to turn from a small puddle to a big puddle, and now is starting to become as big as a small size pond could get. When he finally realise the strange event that has occurred in his room, it was too late.

"What the..." He said to no one in particular, there's no one but him anyways. He was filled with shocked. "How did the-" The middle part of the pond of black ink slowly changes to many different colours, there's red, purple, green and many more mixing together. He look at the black ink with surprise as the colourful part of the ink slowly forms into a shape much alike him.

"Hello!" The 'person' talks.

He stood there dumbfound, "W-Who are you?" He had never seen anyone with that many colors, there's brown in many forms of shades, a cyan jacket tied onto his waist, and a big paintbrush behind him. He look down to himself, the only thing he have was a piece of white clothing.

"My name is Ink, Ink Sans to be exact, Nice to meet you!" Colourful ink suddenly vomits out from Ink's mouth, shocking the other even more, "I'm sorry, I get too excited at times. Here, let me-" Ink stopped his sentence. Ink notice the place is empty, a bit too empty. There's nothing here but white emptiness. He look at the person who is standing in front him, "Have you.... been living here? Alone?"

He nod, "Ever feel lonely? He shake his head at first, but he soon hesitate, "I feel... empty. Something is missing in this place."

Ink thought for awhile, soon smiling at his idea, "Hm... Maybe I could help with that." Ink lift his extra large paintbrush and starts to paint on the wall.

He panic, "Wait, what are you-" A stoke of rainbow appears on the white empty wall. He stare at it with surprise. Ink smile at his reaction, "Like it?" He look at him, "How did you do it? How can you paint without anything?"

Ink grin proudly, "It's my specialty." Ink sees how he stares at the colours with wonder and pass him the paintbrush, "Would you like to try?"

He look at the paintbrush with temptation, "I can?" Ink just smiles. He took the paintbrush with hesitation, but is soon filled with excitement. A blue rabbit was painted, it soon became true and starts hopping around. He was shocked at first, but it became a laugh very quickly. More and more colours are filled in the room, pink, peach, orange, yellow. Bright colours mixing together, jokes between the two were shared.

For once in his life, he was filled with colours.

"Thank you..." He look at Ink, "Thank you for bringing colours to my world."

Ink chuckled, "Of course, that's what I do."

A Short Story

The Synonym of Walk

She hurriedly shuffle through the hallway. Walking pass an army of soldiers that are marching and a general who strutted in front of the soldiers. She accidentally tread on a maid's shoes and tripped. "Oh my goodness, are you alright madam?" She quickly got up and continue her way, "I'm so sorry but I'm in a hurry right now. I promise I will buy a new pair of shoes for you!" The maid watch in confuse as she slowly disappears from her eyes. She stumble upon a large door with two guards standing side by side, greeting each other before she plods wearily in the room. Inside was a huge room with a pretty lady pacing in circles with a worry look on her face. She stroll across the room and towards the lady. She bows, "My lady, I have answer your call." The lady look at her, finally broke into a smile.

The Cipher

The moon shines brightly on the dark sky, underneath the moon was a huge forest that seems to be enjoying every second of the peaceful moonlight. Everything was quiet in the forest. However...

Ta, ta, ta, ta

A small, faint footsteps could be heard. The rushing footsteps seems to have awake the excitement within the forest. Somewhere through the forest, far away from the footsteps, a figure was woken up.

The footsteps finally stopped. Showering underneath the bright moonlight was a girl in the appearence of 10. She wears a yellow brick pattern jacket with a black bow tie around her neck messily, underneath her yellow hood was a short black hair with gold almond eyes glimmering in the dark. She look around her surrounding and listens carefully in alert, but when she heard more than a pair of footsteps come running towards her way, her face immediately turned pale.

"Where is she!?" A deep voice asks.

"She ran this way, I'm sure of it!" Another voice answers.

The girl panic and accidentally break a twig, making a small yet clear crack noise.

"She's there!"

The girl quickly run away. An arrow fly pass her shoulder by an inch but she kept running, more and more arrows coming towards her way. Until...

"Argh!" An arrow shot her shoulders, blood triggers down from her arm. The archers who chased her suddenly seems to be better in aiming. She was shot with two more arrows, one was shot at her back and the other was on her left leg.

She collapse. Her heart turns cold and her mind is blank. This is it, this is where she will die. She refuse to accept her fate, but she knew very well she couldn't do anything about it. She have used up all her energy, she was left with no strength in her.

She hear footsteps getting closer, visions are starting to becoming blur. She could see black dots in the distance. Are those the people that has been chasing her this whole time? They are getting closer, eyes getting blurrier in every second. Sudden her eyes was focus to a small pair of barefoot in front of her, blocking her view of the group of dangers that are getting closer.

Huh? Her eyes widen in shocked. Next thing she knew, everything turns black.
